Education and Outreach

G0046_SASC_Web-01_288x288To facilitate awareness, we also assist in public education and community training. Our workshops can be tailored to fit your needs and can explore a variety of topics, including the following:

  • Responding to Disclosures
  • Bystander Intervention skills
  • Assertiveness and  Healthy Boundaries
  • Sexual Assault and the Law
  • Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships
  • Rape Culture

Our services also include tabling/boothing, providing safer sex supplies or printed educational materials to your group and collaborating on relevant community events.

SASC also hosts and supports a variety of events throughout the school year during but not limited to AMS Firstweek and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Some of our past events include: film screenings, discussion panels, and self-care events.

If you would like to request outreach from us, kindly complete our SASC Outreach Request form and email it to sascvolunteer[at]ams.ubc.ca. Please ensure to send this to us at least 3 weeks in advance of the desired date for the workshop.

Safer Sex Supplies Requests

Who is requesting the supplies?

This type of condom is applied over anything that may be inserted (such as a penis, a hand or finger, a sex toy) -- and it has flavour!
